Description & Uses: Fraction 0–80 mm is one of the largest standard graded mixes, containing fines up to very coarse 80 mm chunks. This material provides an extremely sturdy base and is utilized in the heaviest construction applications. Common applications include:

Heavy-duty road bases: Used for constructing robust base layers for highways, airport runways, and industrial yards. The wide gradation ensures a dense base that can support extreme loads (often as the lower layer beneath finer aggregates).
Reinforcing embankments and shoulders: The 0–80 mm fraction is ideal for strengthening road shoulders and highway embankments, preventing collapse and distributing loads. Its large stone content adds bulk and stability.
Railroad and tram ballast: This mix can serve as ballast material for railway and tramway tracks. The combination of large and small particles provides a firm, interlocked bed that supports tracks while facilitating drainage
Mass fill and leveling: Due to its broad size range, 0–80 mm crushed stone is used for filling large pits, raising ground levels, and other situations where a well-compacting bulk fill is required. It ensures minimal voids and long-term stability in embankments or fill areas.
