25-60 mm diabase crushed stone is a coarse fraction tailored for railway ballast and large embankment fills. The 2.5-6 cm stones, made from hard diabase, interlock under the ties to form a stable, well-drained bed that keeps rails level. Their angular shape and uniform coarse size lock the matrix together under load, while the inter-stone voids quickly evacuate water — protecting the track from frost heave and saturation.
Applications: main-line railway ballast per GOST 7392, switches and reinforced track sections, embankment cores for bridge approaches and causeways, gabion fills for retaining walls and shore reinforcement, drainage cushions under industrial platforms and erosion control at slope toes. M1400 strength and I-1 abrasion class minimise ballast pulverisation under train vibration and reduce maintenance cycles.
